I have worked firstly as a full-time carer for a relative and in latter years as a carer and activities organiser in a Residential/Nursing Home.
This has given me vast experience in the world of caring for elderly vulnerable adults especially those suffering from varying degrees of dementia and who are in the final stages of life.

I learnt my singing techniques from an early age when I became a member of my local church choir and I have enjoyed singing ever since.
Whilst working in the Care Home setting, I discovered that whilst I sang and entertained the residents everyone wanted to join in and be part of the show.
Further, I realised that even those residents with moderate to severe dementia could recall the words to some of the songs and would join in and smile.
This promoted a feeling of normalty even though they seemed locked in a confused world. A little bit of reminiscence chat between songs and
recollections of happy times would make for a session of happiness and relaxation which residents looked forward to regularly.

I am keen to share my experience with you and provide your residents with an uplifting and joyful performance.
